The LIF Empreende Program, part of the 2nd Workshop on Photonic Industry and Entrepreneurship, is promoted by LIF-UNICAMP and aims to foster the creation of new companies based on scientific research results in the photonics field. The Program offers the training to facilitate the transformation of academic research into businesses and actions that can return to society the knowledge produced in universities.
The Lean Canvas is an agile planning tool used by entrepreneurs to develop and validate business ideas: it simplifies the communication of the venture essential elements, such as problem, solution, value proposition, metrics, channels, and costs. As an effective idea structurer, the Lean Canvas also enables the enhancement of scientific research and academic projects. The tool helps entrepreneurs and researchers to quickly test and adjust their ideas based on real feedback, increasing the chances of project success.
