October 20, 2023 Announcing the 5 Finalists of the LIF Empreende Program
Startups shine in the 2nd Photonics and Entrepreneurship Workshop.

The finalists of the LIF Empreende Program, part of the 2nd Workshop on Photonic Industry and Entrepreneurship promoted by LIF-UNICAMP, have been unveiled after the conclusion of the first phase of the competition.
The five selected startups are 3S Health, 3S Smart Sensing Solutions, Biolumina, NIT/SLAMANDIC, and Sóliton, and they will now compete for the top prize. The final presentations will take place during the Demo Day scheduled for October 31st.
LIF Empreende is an initiative aimed at fostering the creation of companies based on research, particularly in the field of photonics. The participating startups have the chance to win a cash prize of R$4,000.00, as well as a certificate of recognition and the opportunity to receive an exclusive Business Mentoring plan from Baita Aceleradora.
The finalists will compete for the main award, which will be determined by a professional jury. Additionally, there will be a People’s Choice category, ensuring a certificate of recognition for the most-voted business model.
The Program’s mission is to give back to society the technology developed in laboratories while promoting the development of academic and entrepreneurial skills among the participants. To achieve this goal, it provides training, mentoring, lectures, and networking opportunities for the participating startups, becoming a valuable platform for boosting entrepreneurship and innovation.
