Lazaro A. Padilha

@IPhD

Within this project, the role of the team led by Prof. Padilha is to perform fundamental characterization of novel materials, understanding the relationship between morphology and optical and electionic properties of those materials, and searching for suitable nonlinear optical materials.

Assistant Professor of the Gleb Wataghin Physics Institute (IFGW) at the University of Campinas

Prof. Padilha received his PhD in Physics in 2006 from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) in Brazil. He has experience working on ultrafast spectroscopy, nonlinear optics, and photophysics of semiconductor nanomaterials. Currently, he leads the Ultrafast Spectroscopy Laboratory at the Physics Institute at UNICAMP, where advanced spectroscopy techniques are applied to understand the photophysical properties of novel nanostructure, with emphasis to those tailored for opto-electronic applications, including lighting and light detection technologies.
